FAQ
Is this a blockchain game?
Kind of.
We don’t think it is possible to have a game fully on the blockchain and truly decentralized with the currently technology.
The game is being designed with the goal of being fully decentralized eventually.
Currently, the game runs on centralized servers, but it will be possible to deposit/withdraw Divine Energy from/to multiple blockchains.
Is this game play-to-earn?
No. While it is possible to earn by playing this game, it is not a “play-to-earn-game” as people associate with the expression.
Play to earn games are unsustainable. If everyone plays solely to earn where is the money coming from? It is possible to make “play-to-earn” sustainable with things like ads or donations, but not on a closed loop regarding only the players.
And it is not the case of this game. We don’t plan to have any ads or donations. The game should be fun enough for some people to want to pay-to-play, like it has been since the inception of video games.
If some players want to pay for things like status or convenience by trading/engaging with other players then it is possible for others to actually earn from the game.
Are cards NFTs?
No.
Only Omni Source and Divine Energy are on blockchains.
Players can always convert cards or trade them into Divine Energy if they want to move value in or out.
Are bots and multi-account allowed?
Yes, the whole game is being designed with that in mind.
In fact, the goal is for it to be pointless to even have bots or multi-accounts. For instance, you can be able to “stack” Omni Sources, so there is no need to deal with the hassle of managing and juggling between multiple accounts.
For bots, the resource system ensures that it is not necessary to run a bot to get an advantage for playing 24/7.
And about the skill advantage that bots might have over humans.
The game is designed so there are so many game possibilities where brute-forcing or using machine-learning is not feasible.
And even if it is, the goal is to have all that available information available on the client and digestible to the players - leveling the playing field.
If we do reach a point where AI is better than humans on everything, well, in that case we have bigger problems to worry about.
Is this game free?
Yes. Sort of. There are modes that you can played for free forever and even win Divine Energy from it. However, some features of the game will not be fully available until you reach a certain level of Divine Energy.
How much does it cost to play?
There are modes that you can play completely for free, but that's not the full experience.
With Omni Sources and Divine Energy system it is possible to pay as much or as little as you want.
Which platforms are supported?
The goal is to have the game running on browser, desktop and mobile.
Currently it is on PC only. You can download it here.
Can I trade my cards with other players?
Yes.
Players will be able to trade directly to other players (P2P) without any fees.
There will also be a Market where players can place their cards. While more convenient, it may charge fees.
With all the RNG in the game, how can I know it is fairly done?
The game will be fully open source, so the community can verify it. But even that being the case, there is no way to know that that open source piece of code is actually the one running on the servers.
Luckily we can use some cryptography to help us solve that.
It can get pretty technical how it works, but over simplifying it works like this:
The server will choose a random number, mix it (hash) and show you that mix BEFORE the battle starts.
Then after the battle ends the server will show you the original number that was used and you can mix it yourself and verify that it is the same as the mix shown BEFORE the battle.
Is there an in-game shop or micro-transactions?
Only Omni Sources are sold from the game, no skins/booster/passes/etc for sale.
Everything is earned exclusively through gameplay and can be traded with other players.
Why open source this game?
The goal is for the game to eventually be fully decentralized and being open source is basically a prerequisite for that.
The whole point of this is to be community owned and to benefit everyone. Not to be locked under IP and copyright laws.
The ability to easily fork the project is paramount to keep the ethos alive meaning it cannot be bought, corrupted or abandoned.
Another benefit is that it allows the community to create alternative servers.
For example, a server with the same game but with “furries” and “waifus” will likely never be “officially” supported. But if many members of the community want to play it then they can.
Lastly, it is good for security as it can be battle tested by the whole community and not rely on security by obfuscation.
Is there a roadmap?
Yes, you can check it at the end of the whitepaper.
I have a question not covered here. Where should I ask it?
Great, we’d love to hear from you.
